4.1 Individual Customers
Individual customers include Singapore citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, and foreigners residing in or outside Singapore who require translation of personal documents. These Terms apply fully to all individual customers regardless of nationality or location.
4.2 Business Customers
Business customers include companies, partnerships, organisations, law firms, financial institutions, and other entities that engage our services for commercial or professional purposes. Business customers may be subject to additional terms set out in a separately agreed Service Agreement or Purchase Order, which shall prevail in the event of conflict with these Terms.

Overseas customers acknowledge that all transactions are subject to Singapore law, delivery is conducted via the internet, and all currency amounts are in Singapore Dollars (SGD) unless otherwise agreed in writing. We make no representation that our services are appropriate for use in any particular jurisdiction outside Singapore.
5. Translation Accuracy — Limitation of Liability
This section limits Call2Translate Singapore's liability for translation accuracy. By using our services, you expressly agree to the terms in this section.
5.1 Best Efforts Basis
All translations are prepared by qualified human translators on a best-efforts basis. While we take every reasonable care to ensure accuracy, translation is an interpretive process involving linguistic and cultural judgement. We do not guarantee that any translated output is free from errors, omissions, or ambiguities.
5.2 Your Obligation to Verify
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, and suitability of every translated document before using it, publishing it, submitting it to any authority, sharing it with third parties, or relying on it for any purpose. This obligation applies to both individual and business customers.
By accepting delivery of a translated document from us, you confirm that you understand this obligation and agree to review the translation before any use.
5.3 No Liability for Adverse Outcomes
Call2Translate Singapore shall not be held responsible or liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss, damage, expense, or outcome — including but not limited to:
- Rejection of an application by ICA, MOM, ROM, ACRA, Singapore Courts, MOE, LTA, or any other government or private authority
- Any adverse legal, immigration, financial, medical, academic, or professional decision made in reliance on a translated document
- Any loss of opportunity, damage to reputation, or financial loss arising from a translation
- Any misinterpretation, ambiguity, or cultural nuance not captured in the translation
By using our services, you expressly agree that you will not hold Call2Translate Singapore accountable for any errors, omissions, or consequences arising from translated content, to the maximum extent permitted under Singapore law.
5.4 Maximum Liability Cap
To the extent that any liability cannot be excluded under applicable Singapore law, our total aggregate liability to you in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with a translation shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you to us for that specific translation service.
6. Internet Delivery — Transmission Risks
Our services are delivered entirely or substantially through the internet, including document receipt, translation, certification, and delivery. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and accept the following:
- Transmission errors: Errors, delays, interruptions, corruption, or loss of data during internet transmission are possible and are beyond our control. We are not responsible for any data lost or corrupted during transit over the internet or any network.
- Email and channel delivery: Where documents are delivered by email or digital file transfer, delivery is deemed to have occurred when we send the document to the address or channel you have provided. Non-receipt due to spam filters, full mailboxes, incorrect addresses, or third-party platform issues is beyond our responsibility.
- Security: While we take reasonable precautions to protect documents in transit, internet communications are not inherently secure. We recommend that you use secure, private networks when submitting and receiving sensitive personal or business documents.
- Platform outages: Temporary unavailability of our website or communication platforms due to maintenance, technical faults, or third-party outages does not constitute a breach of our service obligations.
- Third-party systems: We are not liable for errors or failures in third-party systems used to receive or view translated documents, including email clients, cloud storage services, or document viewing software.
7. Orders, Payment & Cancellation
7.1 Order Acceptance
A translation order is accepted only when we have confirmed in writing (by email or other written channel) that we have received your documents and agreed to provide the translation at the agreed price and turnaround time.
7.2 Payment
Payment is due in full in Singapore Dollars (SGD) prior to or upon delivery of the translated document, as specified in your quotation. We accept payment via bank transfer, PayNow, credit card, and other methods as made available on our platform.
7.3 Cancellations & Refunds
If you cancel a translation order after work has commenced, you remain liable to pay for the portion of work completed at the time of cancellation. Refunds are at our sole discretion and will not be provided once a translated document has been delivered to you.
8. Confidentiality
We treat all documents submitted to us as confidential. Our translators are required to sign non-disclosure agreements. We do not share your personal or business documents with any third party except where required by Singapore law or to perform the translation service. For further details, please see our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual Property
All translated documents produced by us remain the intellectual property of the customer upon full payment. We retain the right to maintain anonymised records of translation volume and language pairs for internal quality purposes only. The call2translate.com brand, logo, website content, and all associated materials remain the sole property of Call2Translate Singapore.
10. Prohibited Uses
You must not use our translation services for:

- Any activity that violates Singapore law, including but not limited to the Penal Code, the Computer Misuse Act, or the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
- Submitting documents to authorities that you know or suspect to be forged or altered

We reserve the right to refuse any translation request at our discretion and to terminate services immediately if we have reason to believe our services are being misused.
11. Data Protection — PDPA Compliance
We collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). By submitting documents to us, you consent to us processing your personal data to provide the translation service. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms — including any question regarding existence, validity, or termination — shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Singapore.
For individual consumer customers, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under Singapore consumer protection laws.
13. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of our services after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically.
